Body Beast Breakfast Burrito Muscle Meal

If you are doing a muscle building program like Body Beast or P90X, you will want a muscle meal that’s protein-packed! Power up with this Body Beast Breakfast Burrito. Food is fuel!

These are great for breakfast, snacks, any time! Since starting Body Beast, I find that I need to eat a lof of good food! This burrito is the perfect muscle meal to get the job done!

Body Beast Breakfast Burrito

  • 1 10-in. whole wheat flour tortilla (LaTortilla Factory is a favorite!)
  • 3 egg whites (or 1/4 cup egg substitute)
  • 1/3 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/3 cup green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1/2 slice chopped ham (choose lean, low sodium kind)
  • 2 Tbsp. salsa (I love Mrs. Renfros Mango Habernero)

Scramble up the eggs, spoon onto the tortilla, and sprinkle with cheese and ham. Roll ’em up “burrito style,” wrap in a paper towel, and microwave for 10 seconds. Add salsa for a little kick!

The Three Body Beast Phases

Build. During this phase, you’ll be creating a strong physical and nutritional foundation to build upon in the latter two phases.

Bulk. This phase is designed for you to add mass and for you to start to see size gains. You’ll need to eat enough protein to bulk up, but you’ll also need a high-carb diet to give your body enough energy to get through these intense workouts.

Beast. In this third phase, your goal is to strip away any remaining fat covering the big muscles you’ve built in the Build and Bulk phases. In this short phase, your diet will switch to high-protein, low-carb to help shred those remaining pounds. You’ll get cut and chiseled as you prepare for competition or a photo shoot.
