That Year In Review Thing

happy-New-Year's-BB-hat-6I have recently embraced the practice of acknowledging one’s self for accomplishments and milestones. I think that people somethings overlook the importance to stop, smell the roses and reflect on what has been done. It also helps one to learn and grow from the past so that the future can be embraced with excitement and enthusiasm.

This time of year is populated with all sorts of Year in Review news reports, TV shows and magazine articles. I suppose blog posts too!

Yesterday I wrote down a list of my amazing accomplishments that popped into my head from 2009. There are quite a few. This year was one of the best years I have ever had in so many areas of my life! Here are the highlights from the health and fitness side of things in no particular order. I wrote them down on a piece of paper while sitting with a warm cup of coffee at Beauty and the Bean Coffee Shop here in Fort Atkinson.

Workouts

Health

  • Discovered information about the food industry I never knew about by reading The Omnivore’s Dilemma
  • Saw the movies Fresh and Food Inc. – now I’m more educated
  • Working hard to buy foods locally or organically
  • Shakeology – umm.. never enough words to describe how I feel and what this product has done for my energy, weight, overall health and more…my taste buds love it too!
  • Made my entire Thanksgiving dinner thru locally grown and organic products.
  • Worked out 365 Days this year … haven’t missed since November 25, 2007!!
  • Used WOWY when I could, but was unable to log in when they switched to the new Team Beachbody site.
  • Did Insanity while on vacation. Try that type of cardio at 8000 feet in the Grand Tetons!

Beachbody Business

  • Had 292 new friends join me in 2009 to get healthy and fit!
  • Had 108 people join as coaches on my team to make income while getting healthy and fit themselves
  • Honored to work with a dedicated group of awesome people who are part of a Team Beachbody coaching team called Team Infinity!
  • Traveled to Universal Studios in Hollywood for the Beachbody Summit – learned about Shakeology, Insanity, Brazil Butt LiftRev Abs and Turbo Fire.
  • Traveled to Dana Point, CA (special invite by Beachbody) to learn the new Game Plan making the business opportunity super easy and super rewarding!
  • Learned to make effective use of many social networking tools like Twitter, Facebook, Linked In and YouTube to connect with thousands of awesome people around the globe!
  • My weekly video Power Blast Podcast is still going strong. Celebrated 100th episode back in February and starting the new year with episode 144!
  • Coached ANOTHER Million Dollar Body Game winner! :)
  • Saw MANY MANY MANY of my customers blow away their results and get into the best shape they have seen in years. For some people… their life!
  • Shakeology – again, an amazing product that saw sales go thru the roof and change lives of many with weight loss, energy and health.
  • Started my first Newsletter called Put Yourself First (go figure!).

I just saw this come through my email … P90X was listed as one of the Hottest Health Trends of 2009. I think many of us know it’s been a trend for a really long time and will continue to be so. Article

Who do you know and love?

Many of you know I started my fitness journey back in April 2003. Since that life-changing 90 day experience with Power 90 I have worked hard to inspire people to take charge of their own health and fitness. I do my best to workout every day and model healthy habits (most of the time). I also reach out to thousands every month through my fitness podcasts.

I am challenging YOU to inspire someone to do the same. A new decade is approaching. Imagine being around those you love who can take on 2010 with renewed energy, life, passion and health! Really… do it now… IMAGINE IT.

OK, now think of at least two people you know and love who could benefit from the life-changing workout programs and products Team Beachbody has.

There’s a wide variety of workout program for any fitness personality. There’s even a FREE one that can played on the computer – a 25 minute where Tony Horton and Brian (Brian weighs in at 400+ pounds) demonstrate how a person who has a lot of weight to lose can get things moving and start to change their life!

There’s your challenge. Inspire two or more people to join you on your fitness journey. You can bet that 2010 will look very different!

It’s so impressive how people are making themselves a priority. Please keep being billboards of health and fitness and share with someone you know and love.

Power Blast Podcast – Episode 124: Do It For You

So often people give many, many reasons why they can’t workout and be healthy. I have heard everything blamed from ailments to family to time. Hey, I hear ya! Life happens to all of us and can make taking care of ourselves a challenge. How would life be different if tomorrow you were in the condition and health you wanted to have for yourself? Hmmm. Why not take one step each day toward making life better? I bet if you dog in, you could find a way. You have to Do It For You! You won’t be without support!
